Lucy
AKA Goose, Gooser, Girl, Love, Babe, Honeybun, Bun Bun, Honey, Sister, Daughter…The reason behind our cause. The very best girl anyone could ask for. We are so lucky she chose us to call her family! She’s a loving companion, sister, and protector. She’ll snuggle up with you all day, if you let her! And if you’re looking for a big kiss, just ask Lucy! She will happily oblige.

Bert
AKA Son, Brother, Boy, Buba, Bubs, Bubby, Nugget, Booper…A playful puppy, with the cutest little smile! He looks quite serious, but don’t mistake that for a single mean bone in his body. He is lovable and fun. He’s the perfect brother dog for any rough houser, timid, or otherwise non-dog-friendly furry friend. He is patient and empathic in nature, making him the best friend.

Smoke
AKA Smoke Stack, Smokey Bear, Boy, Son, Bubba...Named after NASCAR driver, Tony Stewart "Smoke", this boy fits the ambassador perfectly. He loves all of his dog siblings to the core, and has a special fondness for Lucy and Bert. This boy is going to do amazing things!

Mags
SWEETEST BABY
Mags is a young girl that came to the sanctuary from Lytle Animal Control as one of our first two residents in January 2024 as a 1 year old American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier mix. She was at risk for euthanization due to several months in shelter with no adoption interest.

Ronnie came to the sanctuary from Lytle Animal Control as one of our first two residents in January 2024 as a 3 year old American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier mix. He was at risk for euthanization due to several months in shelter with no adoption interest.

Rosie
ANGEL BABY
Rosie is our beautiful girl, rescued from euthanization from San Angelo shelter at 3 years old in February 2024. Rosie is an American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog mix.

Babydoll
OUR HEART
Babe came to us through a dedicated rescue network as an 8-10 year old American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier mix in February 2024 after having been previously rescued, only to be abandoned once more alongside several other dogs in Houston.

Billie Jean
BEST FRIEND
Billie was rescued alongside Babe and dozens of other dogs in 2023, but quickly abandoned at a boarding facility with the same group. She came to the sanctuary as a 2-3 year old in February 2024, after a several month long search to find her forever home. She is an American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier mix.

Whit and Gigi
THE LITTLES
These two precious little sisters, Whitney “Whit” and Georgia “Gigi”, joined us at the Sanctuary in late February 2024 at 6 weeks old. They are heeler/pyrenees/pit bull pups.
We are currently accepting adoption applications for Gigi.

Chloe and Gracie
BIGGIE AND SMALLS
Chloe and Gracie are a tag team! They came to the sanctuary in March 2024 as a senior lady duo. When their family faced a crisis and had to urgently move out of state, they wanted to make sure these two girls would be taken care and could live out the rest of their days in comfort. Gracie wouldn’t let us leave with Chloe, unless she was also coming along. That’s how we ended up with a chihuahua!

Ruby
LITTLE ONE
Ruby came to the sanctuary in March 2024, as a 1 year old. While she wasn’t one of the girls we took in back in February, she was a part of the same failed rescue group in Houston that left dozens of dogs abandoned at a boarding facility.
UPDATE 10/05/2024: Ruby has been adopted!

SMILES
Kai is the sweetest of sweet boys. He came to the sanctuary in March 2024 as a 5 year old American Bully. Due to his family’s situation, Kai found himself without a place to call home.

Lexus
HOPE AND RESILIENCE
Lexus came to the sanctuary as an adult in May 2024 as a German Shepherd Dog/Bully mix. She had been part of the same rescue group as Babydoll, Billie, and Ruby, pulled from BARC in Houston, TX, only to then be abandoned and left behind by that very rescue.

PEACHY PRINCESS
Quinn is a young lady that came to the sanctuary in May 2024 from San Antonio. She had been pulled from the shelter’s euthanasia list by a Florida rescue and put into boarding while awaiting transport.

Chandler
WIGGLE WORM
Chandler joined our residents in May of 2024 as a young boy from south Texas. He was rescued from an abandoned home, where he was found in awful condition after being attacked by dogs and in critical condition.
We are currently accepting adoption applications, however an adoption cannot be finalized until 12/31/2024 or later due to current medical treatment.

Candy came the sanctuary from our friends at Rescue PAC in July 2024 as a 7 week old puppy in need of foster. We ended up taking her and four of her siblings in as residents. The litter had been found living under a house in rural Lockhart, TX.

Bailey
SASSY MAMA
Bailey came to the Sanctuary in October 2024 as an 8 year old bully mix, all the way from Massachusetts. Due to some major changes at home, Bailey found herself overwhelmed and no longer able to cohabitate with the tiny human in the family. As a result, her loving family made the tough decision to find her a new place where she could thrive without the stress of her previous living situation.

Lil
LIL BIT
Lil came to us from Vermont in October 2024 as adult dog. While Lil was part of a loving home before joining our pack, she had recently been in an altercation with another pet, which led to a series of unfortunate events in the tight-knit community. Because of her breed, Lil faced prejudice that doomed her to living the rest of her life in isolation, which her family refused to allow. Left with no other options for rehoming, we lovingly accepted Lil into our sanctuary.

Brock
BIG BEAR
Brock came to the sanctuary in November 2024 at a young adult from Dallas. He was pulled from the shelter by a good samaritan prior to being euthanized. They made sure he got the heartworm treatment he desperately needed, along with getting neutered. When Brock started exhibiting dangerous reactivity toward other animals, the decision was made to place him with our sanctuary for rehab and socialization, while he awaits his forever home.

Sadie
Sadie came to us a puppy in March 2025. She was left in the night, tossed over a fence, at a Houston, TX boarding facility. While her start was uncertain, her future is bright!

We no longer offer out of area adoptions. Only applicants with an address within 100 miles of 77984 will be considered.
Adoption Policies & Fees
Due to the nature of our adoptions and our Mission, our adoptions fees are based on a sliding scale, from $0-$350. Generally, adoption fees are sponsored in-house for military veterans, and people with disabilities and/or suffering from mental health conditions. In addition, we do accept donations and adoption sponsors. What we really ask for is that you provide a loving, stable home, and tell your friends about our mission. Sharing is caring!
Every dog at the sanctuary is spayed or neutered or will be once they are of age, is microchipped, has been treated monthly with flea/tick/parasite preventative, and has been administered all medications prescribed by our vet for optimal health, including annual vaccinations and boosters. We do not facilitate adoptions for dogs currently undergoing medical treatment or recovery of any kind.
